"Underwriting 1.5°C: competitive approaches to financing accelerated climate change mitigation" 

Our own Rupert Edwards from Forest Trends' Public-Private Finance Initiative contributed to this article that appeared in a Special Edition of Climate Policy and that analyzes the potential for programs that underwrite the value of emissions reductions. These programs use auctioned price floors to provide price certainty over long-time horizons, thus improving the cost-effectiveness of limited public funds while also catalyzing private investment.
